Statement of Faith - ChristianCounselingUSA.com
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutionary and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the God the Father, His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to judge the world in righteousness, and His creating a new heaven and new earth for all of His followers. Most of all, we believe in the lessons which Jesus preached, kindness to our fellow man, love for those who may wish to harm us, and dedication of one’s life to helping oneself and others to the path of the kingdom of heaven.
"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" (John 14:6)
We believe in God, our father and creator and sustainer of all things, who is holy, eternal, all-present, and all-powerful. Most importantly, He is all-loving, for He sent His Son to shepherd and heal His fellow humans, to suffer and give up His life on the cross, to be buried and then rise from the dead on the third day. Jesus returned to heaven to the right hand of the Father, where has prepared a kingdom of heaven for those who receive His gift of salvation. Because of His sinless life, death for the sins of mankind, and His glorious resurrection, Jesus has made the way for men and women to experience forgiveness of sins and live eternally with Him through repentance and receiving by faith the grace of God.
“The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” (John 4:8)
We believe in the Holy Spirit, through which God’s divine grace is embodied to help the restoration and renewal of those faithful to Jesus Christ. We are sanctified by that which makes the presence of Jesus Christ real in believers. He comforts, guides, convicts, and enables believers to live in ways that honor Christ.
“For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him. Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.”(Thessalonians 5:8-5:11)
